The Travel Itinerary for Serengeti To Kilimanjaro:
Day 1: Arrival & hotel transfer at Moshi
Pick up and transfer to the hotel in Moshi. At the hotel, you will have pre-departure meeting and briefing from the local guide.
Day 2: Transfer to Mandara Huts
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast and after, embark on 5-6 hours hiking expedition. It will be moderate hike and expect variation in elevation but your guide will take you on a favorable pace to allow all of you make it to the camp.
Day 3: Mandara/Horombo Huts
Set off for Horombo hut navigating through the heather and moorland zones.
Day 4: Kibo Hut
Continue through the saddle via a desert like alpine zone to Kibo hut.
Day 5: Descend to Horombo
Begin your trek to the summit through Stella Point. At this point, you will definitely appreciate the charming sunrise and later, start descending back to Horombo Hut.
Day 6: Moshi
Move further to the base where you began your adventure on day one, meet the driver guide waiting for you. You will have a relaxed moment, grab some drinks and cheer up on conquering the summits and do not leave without getting your certificate. Next, you will be transferred to the hotel in Moshi for a massage and night stay.
Day 7: Picturesque journey to Arusha
Set off from your hotel to Arusha with en-route stopover at the Moshi Women’s Cooperative. Get a moment to explore about this project, interact with women and how they have transformed their lives. Feel free to support their project by purchasing some of their souvenirs.
Day 8: Visit Mto wa Mbu village
Embark on an inspirational cultural safari in Mto wa Mbu village. Enjoy a cultural walk, explore more about the rural way of life in this area, interact with women and expect the delicious traditional meal. After, you will have a great moment exploring wildlife on the main route to Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 9: Memorable Self-drive tour to Serengeti National Park
Leave Mto wa Mbu village for remarkable wildlife expedition in Serengeti National Park. En-route, enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding area, sight some wildlife and birds.
Day 10: Full day wildlife encounter
A full day is dedicated for you to search for Serengeti National Park and you depart with a picnic lunch pack. Expected animal encounters for the day; buffaloes, lions, African bush elephants, rhinos, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and numerous bird species.
Day 11: Hot air balloon & afternoon game drive
Catch up with the morning balloon excursion; enjoy sight of wildlife and trees. Your balloon excursion is all about experiencing Serengeti from the sky- such awe-inspiring views not to be missed.
